Fireworks – Bad Choice

July 5, 2012

Monstrous dead felled cottonwood trees, heavy dry grass, high winds, and an adjacent rural roadway. Perfect spot to shoot off some fireworks – not.

Yet that’s exactly what somebody did several miles west of the City of St. John. Their fireworks shooting location choice caused fourteen firefighters two and a half hours of grueling work in 100 degree plus sweltering heat.

Poor decisions such as these are what leads to the loss of the right of shooting fireworks for everyone. You may not care how hard the firefighters worked, but what if one had suffered a serious injury, or death. You would carry the burden of your actions for life.

Whoever you are – if you’re reading these words – please use better judgement in the future.
