HSEEP – Leave it to Emergency Management folks to come up with an acronym of this sort. It stands for Homeland Security Exercise and Evaluation Program – and unless you’re a singer, you just about have to take a breath to say it all in one spurt.

Director Steve Moody attended the 3-day HSEEP training program recently. The training was conducted in Wichita and is required by the State if you want to receive any emergency management grant funds.

And if that wasn’t enough? An HSEEP online toolkit class follows this one.

Emergency managers will use this training and the boilerplates provided therein to ensure that all disaster training covers the required areas.

Stafford County was chosen by Moody’s table as the County to focus their class exercises. Hopefully, all the practiced mock disasters don’t put a hex upon us, but we’ll be a bit better prepared if they do.
